NDEF Agroforestry Project in Pinyin
The NDEF Agroforestry Project in Pinyin is an agribusiness that brings on board a series of agroforestry practices including crop cultivation, small livestock rearing, and tree products. The activities are linked up to enable symbiotic relationships that lead to many benefits to the farmer as an entrepreneur. The Model adopts business principles in managing the different small departments or plots of the entire farm project. The principal activities include food crop cultivation, honey beekeeping, plantains and a variety of fruit tree cultivation.
We are adopting these linked activities in order to reap the benefits inherent in adopting a series of farming activities as a portfolio to spread our business risk. Each of these activities would develop a stream of income leading to multiple
streams of income to the farming enterprise. This shows a better way of maximizing land use and using natural resources in a sustainable manner.
